Case summary:

Postmenopausal woman presented with lumpish feel in the upper quadrant of the right breast following recent blunt breast trauma. Diagnosed as haematoma collection in right breast, BI-RADS 2 on imaging.

Learning points:

  • Breast lump following trauma needs assessment to rule out underlying malignancy. It is a common observation that breast cancer detection surfaces after trivial injury to the breast.
