Breast imaging – Breast ultrasound – Ultrasound lexicon – Special cases

Special cases form a special category of ultrasound findings. These are categorized by the BI-RADS lexicon and form a specific diagnosis. There is no further assessment suggested for evaluation; the case is a unique finding. Special cases are followed up to rule out interval changes of concern according to the protocol and depending on the nature of the lesion.
