Breast imaging – Mammography interpretation – Introduction | |
After capture and processing, the radiologist reviews the mammographic images to interpret any findings and to characterize any abnormalities seen in order to arrive at a final diagnosis. This requires an organized protocol using the standard BI-RADS Lexicon descriptors. It is important to compare the images with any obtained earlier, if available.
