Before application of acetic acid: The ectocervix is lined with mature squamous epithelium. No abnormal discharge is seen.

After application of acetic acid: Thin acetowhite areas with geographical margins and attached to the SCJ are present on both the anterior and posterior lips.

After application of Lugol’s iodine: The abnormal area with patchy iodine non-uptake appears yellow and is sharply demarcated from the surrounding normal mature squamous epithelium, which appears brown.

Determined eligibility for ablative treatment:

Histopathology: LSIL-CIN1

Remarks: Thin acetowhite areas with angular geographical margins are typical of HPV infections, but they can coexist with low-grade lesions.
