Atlas of visual inspection of the cervix with acetic acid for screening, triage, and assessment for treatment

Filter by language: English / Français / Español / Русский / українська

The objectives of this atlas are to describe the use of VIA as a primary screening test or a test to triage HPV-positive women, and to explain how application of dilute acetic acid can help in determining eligibility for ablative treatment. Although these contexts and settings may be different, most of the principles, steps, and interpretations remain the same in the three different scenarios that necessitate examining the cervix after application of dilute acetic acid.

We hope that readers will enjoy browsing through this digital atlas, will learn many practical tips to be guided in their day-to-day practice, and will thus be able to better serve the women requiring cervical cancer screening and management. That will be the most fitting tribute to Dr Srabani Mittal for her years of hard work to create this wonderful resource.
