Before application of acetic acid: Thick tenacious mucus at the external os indicates the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle.

After application of acetic acid: Multiple thin acetowhite areas attached to the SCJ are seen at the 9 oíclock position, at the 3 oíclock position, and on the posterior lip. A few satellite lesions detached from the SCJ are present on the anterior lip.

After application of Lugolís iodine: The acetowhite lesions do not stain with Lugolís iodine. The abnormal area to be treated is well delineated. The lesion is more extensive than it appeared after application of acetic acid.
