Before application of acetic acid: The cervix appears normal.

Cervix before application of acetic acid:

Nabothian cyst

After application of acetic acid: The columnar epithelium appears white temporarily. Transparent acetowhite epithelium with tongue-shaped projections towards the external os is seen at the 12 o’clock position.
