Before application of acetic acid: Copious curdy white discharge is present.

After application of acetic acid: The SCJ is fully visible. A nabothian cyst helps to identify the outer limit of the TZ. Transparent acetowhite areas with ill-defined margins are present in the TZ (on the anterior lip at the 1 o’clock position and on the posterior lip at the 6 o’clock position).

Remarks: The transparent acetowhite areas are due to squamous metaplasia. Syndromic management of candidiasis is indicated.
