  • Before application of acetic acid: Yellow frothy discharge on the cervix. Multiple red patches, giving rise to strawberry appearance of the cervix.

  • Remarks: Strawberry appearance of the cervix is characteristic of infection by Trichomonas vaginalis. Syndromic management of trichomoniasis is indicated.
