Age: 30

Before application of acetic acid: Lax vaginal walls can be seen bulging between the speculum blades, preventing adequate exposure of the cervix.

Cervix before application of acetic acid:

After application of acetic acid: The SCJ is fully visible. No acetowhite area on the ectocervix.

Remarks: Adequate exposure of the cervix can be obtained by slipping a non-lubricated condom or the finger of a large glove (with its end cut off) over the speculum blades.
