Before application of acetic acid: Multiple nabothian cysts are visible as pearly white blisters on the ectocervix.

After application of acetic acid: The SCJ is fully visible. Diffuse acetowhite epithelium is seen in the TZ on the anterior lip, with tongue-shaped projections towards the external os.
