Before application of acetic acid: The ectocervix is covered by mature pink squamous epithelium.

After application of acetic acid: The SCJ is fully visible close to the external os. Multiple thin acetowhite areas with angular margins are seen on the anterior lip.

After application of Lugol’s iodine: The margins of the lesion are sharply demarcated by Lugol’s iodine, which helps to delineate the area to be treated.

Determined eligibility for ablative treatment:

Histopathology: LSIL-CIN1

Remarks: Thin acetowhite areas with angular or digitating margins are commonly associated with HPV infections, but they can coexist with low-grade precancers and should be considered as VIA-positive.
