Before application of acetic acid: The SCJ is fully visible. No abnormal discharge is seen.

After application of acetic acid: A transparent faint acetowhite area with a tongue-shaped projection towards the external os is seen at the 12 o’clock position.

Histopathology: Not done

Remarks: The transparent thin acetowhite epithelium with a tongue-shaped projection is due to squamous metaplasia. There is no distinct margin. Such changes are common and are VIA-negative.
