  • Before application of acetic acid: The ectocervix is covered by mature squamous epithelium, which appears pink. A small red mucous polyp is seen protruding through the external os.

  • Remarks: On closer inspection, the lesion is touching the SCJ. Because it is located in the TZ, the lesion should be categorized as VIA-positive. Cervix looks inflammed and treatment for cervicitis should be given.
