Before application of acetic acid: The cervix is stained with menstrual blood. A nabothian cyst is present at the 2 o’clock position.

After application of acetic acid: A small trickle of menstrual blood is seen at the external os. The nabothian cyst has a pearly white blister-like appearance. No acetowhite area in the TZ.
