Before application of acetic acid: The cervix appears normal. The SCJ is fully visible.

Cervix before application of acetic acid:

After application of acetic acid: The SCJ is visible as a prominent white line between the columnar epithelium and the squamous epithelium. No acetowhite area.

Remarks: After application of acetic acid, the SCJ appears as a sharp, prominent white line at the junction between the squamous epithelium and the columnar epithelium. This is normal and is categorized as VIA-negative.
