LEEP Loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP). Use of a heated wire loop to remove a cone-shaped biopsy from the uterine cervix and the cervical canal. The procedure is similar to a cold knife cone biopsy, but is generally faster and heals more easily. Histopathology atlas
