AGC: atypical glandular cells
The Bethesda 2001 System: atypical glandular cells (AGC). Morphological changes of glandular cells which are too pronounced for inflammatory or reactive origin, but insufficient to diagnose an adenocarcinoma.
They are:
- Atypical glandular cells (AGC), endocervical, endometrial or not otherwise specified (NOS),
- Atypical endocervical cells or glandular cells not otherwise specified (NOS), favour neoplastic.
