  • Cervix before application of acetic acid:

    After application of acetic acid: Faint acetowhite patches are present at the 10–11 o’clock position, with indistinct margins.

  • Remarks: The mucous polyp appears faint white because of metaplasia. It can be removed with the help of a sponge holding forceps by rotating it multiple times and sent for histopathology.
