    After application of acetic acid: A dense acetowhite area with well-defined raised margins and surface irregularity is present. Multiple bleeding points with areas of erosion are seen on the acetowhite area.

  • Remarks: Sometimes early invasive cancer is small. The density of acetowhitening, the raised surface, and contact bleeding from the surface should raise the suspicion of cancer.
