The Screening Group organized this second training course in collaboration with the Cancer Institute/Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CICAMS) for the ASEAN countries, with participants from Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Viet Nam.

Dr Basu and Dr Sankaranarayanan attended the meeting as experts.

Mr Eric Lucas participated in an expert meeting at NCDC to provide technical advice about how to set up a breast, cervical, and colorectal electronic cancer screening registry in Georgia.

Dr Watson-Jones and Dr Kreimer visited the Screening Group to present the DORIS trial evaluating a single dose of bi- and 9-valent HPV vaccines and to work on an immune bridging study between IARC/NCI and DORIS.

Dr Sauvaget and Dr Sankaranarayanan attended the imPACT Expert Meeting to review imPACT methodology for assessing national cancer control capacities and needs.

Dr Sauvaget attended the international conference and the 60th anniversary of the cancer hospital.

In India, the Screening Group is conducting research to better understand the impact of screening with clinical breast examination on early-stage detection of breast cancer in Kerala. Watch video.
