Abnormalities of glandular cells
The Bethesda System 2001: under this expression are grouped morphologic changes of glandular cells, which differ from changes due to inflammatory and reactive conditions.
They are:
- Atypical glandular cells (AGC), endocervical, endometrial or not otherwise specified (NOS),
- Atypical endocervical cells or glandular cells not otherwise specified (NOS), favour neoplastic,
- Endocervical adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS),
- Adenocarcinoma.
