New publication: Two-dose recommendation for Human Papillomavirus vaccine can be extended up to 18 years – updated evidence from Indian follow-up cohort study

This new article, published in the journal of Papillomavirus Research and based on an ongoing multi-centric study in India coordinated by the Screening Group, compares the protection offered against incident and persistent human papillomavirus (HPV) infections in women receiving two or three doses of quadrivalent vaccine at 15-18 years of age. These new results make a strong argument to extend the current World Health Organization two-dose recommendation to 15-18 year old girls. View the article and the IARC news.

Dr Partha Basu presented within the framework of the ECHO project, the medical digital Indian platform, a virtual seminar about colposcopic features of premalignant and malignant changes of cervix attended by Indian gynaecologists.

Dr Partha Basu was the chairperson at the National conference and Training of Trainers programme on National conference of wellness of woman, “Ek Kadam Cancer se Bachao Ki Ore” and delivered presentations about NCDs and Cancer Screening, and management of VIA screened positive participants. Dr Sankaranarayanan presented the Road map for Cervical Cancer Elimination in INDIA and WHO perspective.
