New publication: “Can a single dose of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine prevent cervical cancer? Early findings from an Indian study”06/04/2018
A study led by the Screening Group is comparing the effectiveness of a single dose of HPV vaccine versus three or two doses to protect against persistent HPV infection, which is the necessary cause of cervical cancer. Early findings from this multicentre trial in India indicated that a single dose of quadrivalent HPV vaccine generated robust antibody response and provided similar protection against HPV16 and HPV18 persistent infections as immunization based on the three- or two-dose vaccine schedules.
