Flat condyloma
Macroscopic type of condyloma without exo or endophytic growth (see the condyloma definition). A minimal parabasal cell nuclear polymorphism may be observed at times with some acanthosis.
Koilocytosis is visible in the mid or upper part of the epithelium with variation in the nuclear shape and size with wrinkling of the nuclei, polychromatism, a perinuclear vacuole, parakeratosis and dyskeratosis. Many binuclear cells are abserved as well as normal and abnormal mitoses.
This lesion is a CIN 1. (see also: LSIL)
