- If the cervix and/or the lesion is large, the vaginal walls are in danger of coming into contact with the loop.
- Push in the lateral fornix with a large cotton swab to move the cervix to one side.
- Keep the loop in the centre of the field of view, and release the pressure on the cotton swab so that the cervix moves across the loop.
- Put the cotton swab in the opposite fornix, pushing gradually to continue moving the cervix across the loop.
