Basal cells with enlarged nuclei, coarse chromatin, thickened nuclear membranes and pale and ill-defined cytoplasm. Isolated cells with abnormal nuclei and eosinophilic cytoplasms (arrow): if considered as dyskeratotic cell: HSIL, if considered as necrotic: suspicion of invasion. (obj. 20x)
