A multi organ screening approach is made for all the eligible women in the region. They are also screened for other diseases and intensive health education is given for reducing material and infant morbidity and mortality.
The strategy followed is called "ASTHRA" (application of science and technology for health rural areas). The word ASTHRA in Sanskrit means a very powerful weapon which is launched to achieve the mission.


Rural areas of India which have no electricity, motorable roads, ignorence, illiteracy and poverty.
